Protection of groundwater and remediation of contaminated ground.

Following years during which a wide range of environmental projects have been undertaken, SOLETANCHE-BACHY has decided to further develop its activity in the area of remediation of contaminated ground and protection of groundwater, by creating a dedicated subsidiary known as SOL ENVIRONMENT and by significantly widening the range of technical solutions available.

SOL ENVIRONMENT will build on the experience of SOLETANCHE-BACHY in this field. Their specialist techniques and ability to identify innovative solutions, combined with the extensive resources of the world renowned Soletanche Bachy Group (which has a presence in over 50 countries), will provide the capability to implement those solutions both effectively and efficiently.

In equipping ourselves with a wider range of techniques, our goal is to be able to offer to our industrial clients or developers, tailor-made solutions, on site, managed right up to completion of implementation, thus allowing the treatment of the majority of problems encountered.

The range of applicable processes include notably: the treatment of soils in situ, the treatment of contaminated groundwater, containment, permeable reactive barriers, stabilisation utilising the expertise of our subsidiary INERTEC, the initial assessement of a polluted site, followed by the design and execution of appropriate treatment.
